Looking to improve the look of your smile without the hassle? Ask our dentists about Lumineers® in San Antonio, Texas, today! This simple cosmetic treatment can give you a Hollywood shine in as few as two visits!
Lumineers are a type of dental veneer, thin shells of porcelain or other material that are bonded to the teeth to correct small cosmetic issues and brighten your smile. Dental veneers can be used to close gaps between teeth, correct crooked teeth, brighten dulled or yellowed teeth, and more.
Lumineers are a special type of dental veneers, and they are much thinner than the typical veneer. Most veneers require a certain amount of your original tooth to be shaved off in order to be bonded flush with the tooth, but because they are so thin, Lumineers can simply be placed on the tooth without having to lose any of the original structure. This means your treatment will be less intensive and more comfortable.
It will generally take two visits to our office for you to receive your Lumineers. The first will be to have a mold taken of your teeth and to pick out the correct shade of white. We will then send the impression to the DenMat Lab, where all Lumineers are created, and we will be able to place your Lumineers after they are sent to our office. The process of placing the Lumineers takes about an hour.
